“A storytelling style that balances intimacy with expansive atmosphere...a record shaped by lineage and lived experience, offering moments of stillness that linger long after the final note fades.” Pulse Hutch.

Grey Jacks traces a deeply personal family story across generations - a story that ultimately ends in tragedy in 1966 Amarillo, Texas. The album draws from Grey’s family history and the long-buried story of his grandmother, who shot a man and then took her own life in 1966 when Grey’s mother was just eighteen.

INTERgenerational features sweeping roots arrangements and orchestral textures. blending vocal harmonies, a four-part string section, and roots instrumentation to create a cinematic sound that moves between intimate folk storytelling with an indie sensibility echoing the narrative depth of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska with modern Americana and indie pop textures. Across the album, the songs ask a question that runs through the entire project: Does the past live in our blood — and can music help us find our way home.

Grey is a Washington DC–based songwriter who, over the past decade has written and produced six albums, building a reputation for deeply personal songwriting. The song “Run This Town” from INTERgenerational won the Gold Prize for Lyrics in the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Competition.

The lead singles “With Who” and “Frankie’s Way” showcase both sides of Grey Jacks’ songwriting—intimate reflection and powerful storytelling rooted in family memory. INTERGenerational creates an immersive experience bridging music, dialogue, and community.
